We are experts in supporting schools and communities to inspire and encourage children to be physically active and we’ve been doing so since 2006.
The business was founded by Managing Director Eddie Ray and started out servicing schools and communities across Staffordshire before the business went nationwide through franchising in 2009.
A lot has changed since the early days, but the commitment to provide excellence to all of our customers is just as strong, there is a very friendly atmosphere within the company, so whether you’re a Franchisee or a part-time employee we want everybody to feel part of the family. The main difference between when we started and now, is the amount of knowledge and know-how that we have gained. We are very serious about setting the standards in our industry and are proud to say that we have supported hundreds of schools over the years to realise their vision for PE & school sport, as well as getting children active in the community up and down the country.
We are very happy to share all the information and knowledge we have gained over the years with those people who are interested in owning their own successful sports coaching business. There are a number of revenue streams to the business which offers a comprehensive package to potential Franchisees. So to truly understand our business you should come to our next Discovery Day.

Kevin’s found himself in between positions after leaving Crystal Palace FC as a director. His passion for sport and improving the lives of children through physical activity led him to Progressive Sports and Kevin is the companies longest standing Franchisee.
Liam Loynd & Mauro Beca
Previously worked as Sport Coaches
Franchisee since 2012
Both Liam and Mauro met while working for their local council delivering PE & sport into schools and the local community. It wasn’t long before they wanted to take control things and run their own business and after nearly 10 years as a Franchisee that dream is more than a reality.
Adam Holland
Previously worked as a Sports Coach

Adam started his journey as a Sports Coach in Stoke-on-Trent, working for Port Vale FC and then joining the Head Office team at Progressive Sports, where he climbed the ranks during a 7 year period before then taking the step to becoming our Franchisee for Derbyshire and Nottingham.
Kris England & Pete Randall
Previously in the Corporate World
Franchisee since 2013
Both Kris & Pete’s change of career was sparked by their involvement in coaching their children’s football team, which led them to do their FA coaching qualifications and helped them to decide that the corporate rat race wasn’t for them anymore. Which then led them to pursue becoming their own boss doing something they loved!

I am proud to say that I founded Progressive Sports back in 2006. My role within the company is to create the vision for how the business will evolve moving forward. Looking at strategies and partnerships that help us stand out from our competitors and stay at the forefront of the sports education market in the UK.
Adam Shakesheave
General Manager Manager
I work closely with Eddie and ensure that we’re delivering our planned business objectives by leading and managing key people in the business. I also work closely with some of our key customers ensuring that we continue to meet not only their needs but all our customers.
TOM HATTON
Head of Operations
I head up our Franchise unit in South Staffordshire and deal with day-to-day runnings of the biggest franchise in our network. I also support franchisees with training and recruitment for their staff.
Adam Fussel
Training & Development
Adam works closely with Tom as part of the Operations team and ensure quality standards are achieved and also provides regular training and support to the team in Staffordshire and Nationally.
